Hello, I have installed Lync 2011 on Mac OS X Mountain Lion 10.8.2 I have not been able to successfully log in and am receiving the error message: 'Sign in to Microsoft Lync failed because the service is not available or you may need to be connected to the internet.' I am currently on our network with the Mac joined to Active Directory. Here are the trouble shooting steps I have tried and have found elsewhere online. • Made sure the security certificates for both the Domain and the Lync Server were in Keychain Access and set to always trust. The certificates are in all three areas available (Login, Microsoft Certificates, System). Why is the formatting on word 2011 for mac so messed up now. • Updated Lync to the newest version 14.0.2 • Tried to sign in using Kerberos and not using Kerberos. Generated a new Kerberos ticket by running 'kinit' from terminal.
